Services

Greater Minnesota Veterinary Behavior Services is a veterinary behavior consultation practice, which serves to help in understanding and treating animal behavior problems. Methods are based on knowledge of current learning theory, neurochemistry, and veterinary science. Dogs and cats are the species primarily focused on. Appointments are scheduled by phone or email (please see our Contact Us page), and are accomplished through in-home visits.

The process begins with a visit to make a detailed and thorough assessment of your pet’s behavior issues, in the comfort of your own home, where the pet will feel most at ease. We’ll observe, evaluate and discuss what possible effect interactions and the pet’s  environment may be having on the pet’s behavior. Consideration of any possible contributing medical conditions will be taken into account-with your pet’s veterinarian as the primary care-giver. Then, recommendations for a strategy and a plan are put together-based on realistic expectations-tailored to your individual situation.

At Greater Minnesota Veterinary Behavior Services, we treat by understanding, never by punishment. We are dedicated to assisting in a greater understanding of your pet’s behavior, exploring all applicable options, and guiding you toward a workable and suitable outcome. Our satisfaction is derived from yours.
